Vetnosis launches STORM Datasets

Edinburgh, UK - 9^th September 2008 - Vetnosis launches STORM datasets

Vetnosis is delighted to announce the launch of its new market simulation and demand forecasting research product, STORM Datasets, which deliver 10-year animal health and animal agriculture projections for 40 country / region markets.

The STrategic & Operational Real-world Model (STORM) is a sophisticated, partial equilibrium model developed by Dr Jonathan Lloyd, Senior Analyst and agricultural economist at Vetnosis.  STORM models the fundamental relationships between animal protein demand, supply (production and trade) and simulates the global animal agriculture and animal health markets that would occur under a baseline conditional scenario for 40 country / region markets.

STORM uses sophisticated AIMMS modelling software, a leading simulation package used by economists to make long-run projections, and its outputs are extracted and delivered to clients in easy-to-use MS-Excel Datasets.
